Kintra is a loyalty app for boutique fitness studios: you earn points for verified attendance and redeem them for rewards from brand partners. This page explains, plainly, what information we collect through this website and the Kintra app, why, and what your rights are over it.
1. The waitlist on this website
When you join the waitlist, we store the email address you enter and nothing else. We use it only to tell you when Kintra launches and to send occasional early-access updates. This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers.
2. What the app collects
When you create a Kintra account and use the app, we collect:
- Account information: your email address and password, handled by our authentication provider.
- Profile information: your name, an optional profile photo, and the workout, reward and brand preferences you choose during setup.
- Activity data: which studios you've added, when you check in to a class, and your resulting points balance and streaks.
- Redemption data: which rewards you redeem, the voucher code generated for each one, and whether it's marked as used.
Kintra does not collect your location. Studio check-in works by scanning a code physically posted at the studio, and the app never reads or stores GPS coordinates. Kintra does not process payments or collect card details.
3. How we use it
- To operate your account and keep your points, streaks and studio balances accurate.
- To choose which rewards to recommend to you, based on your stated preferences and your own redemption history. This matching uses your data alone, never comparisons with other users.
- To generate and validate your redemption codes.
- To respond if you contact us for support.
4. Where it's stored
Kintra's data is stored with Supabase, a hosted database and authentication provider, on infrastructure located in the EU. Data is encrypted in transit. Access is restricted so that you can only read and change your own account's data.
5. Who we share it with
We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with brand or studio partners. When you redeem a reward, the partner only sees the voucher code you choose to show them, not your account, activity history or preferences.
A few outside services help us run Kintra, each strictly as a processor acting on our instructions:
- Supabase, which hosts our database and handles authentication.
- Google, whose Gmail service sends referral invite emails on our behalf. It sees the email address you're inviting.
- Expo, whose push notification service delivers alerts to your device. It sees your device's push token and the notification text.
- Vercel, which hosts this website.
6. Your rights
You can, at any time:
- Ask what data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct anything that's wrong.
- Ask us to delete your account, your waitlist signup, or both.
Email us using the details below and we'll act on it promptly.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active, and waitlist emails until Kintra launches or you ask us to remove yours. If you ask us to delete your data, we remove your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we're required to keep limited records for legal or security reasons.
8. Children
Kintra is for adults aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
9. Changes to this policy
As Kintra moves from pilot to a wider release, this policy may be updated, for instance if a future version adds payments or location-based features. We'll update the date above whenever that happens.
